As per reports, the Government of India has taken a great move by announcing the Peak and lean season’s fee to attract the maximum number of foreign tourists and attain a good revenue out of tourism sector. India will now be providing the e-visa at the fee of $25 during the peak season i.e. between July to March and $10 during the lean season, April to June.
The Indian tourism sector has boomed like a wonder in the past few years and all credit goes to the Indian tourism ministry. One of the major strokes was; the introduction of e-visa as it has made it quite easy for foreigners to visit India for shorter durations. Indian E-visa policies can be often seen changing and improving, and something similar happened this Tuesday. The Indian Tourism Minister Prahlad Singh Patel has made an important announcement on the event of inauguration of State Tourism Ministers’ conference.
Patel said “The e-visa fee for a duration of 30 days during the peak season — from July to March — will be $25. While the Indiae-visa fee during the lean period — from April to June — is to be kept at $10,”.
There is one more major announcement was made on Tuesday (20 August 2019) by the GOI, that for the five years of Indian tourist e-visa, the applicant need to pay the sum of $80 and for the one-year online visa, the amount of $40 will be charged. Furthermore, the tourists from Japan, Singapore, and Sri Lanka, need to pay &10 and get 30 days of the India e-visa for one year and fee or five days will be $25. Speaking about this announcement; we can say, this will encourage the Indian tourism as fee reduction is going to appeal most of the aspirants.
